Born in OSAKA, JAPAN
    • In 2005, she began studies in New York City at Fashion Institute of Technology(FIT)

 

    • In 2007, After graduation from FIT, she began work in a studio as a diamond setter at Midtown in NY.

 

    • At the same time, she began learning CAD oparation and making and selling her own jewelry 3D files.

 

    • In 2010, she move back to Osaka, Japan, to open her own jewelry studio.


When making jewelry data by CAD, her first priority is “what the cliant want, what they want to make” and how she could draw it on PC screen, not “what she wants to create”.

On the other hand, she also has a passion to pursue “what the design possibility of making jewelry by 3D modeling would be”.
However, on designing her jewelry in front of PC screen, she tries to includes everything in her consideration……the concept, the theme, the form, production process after printing, wearablity, fashion, expression,presentation……”what she wants” and also, “what you want”.

 

 

 

For 3D Jewelry / Accessories

Jewelry, made by “jewelery studio Shima”, are original products made by mainly the 3D data which has been manufactured using CAD, and 3D printer.

※ For convenience at this site,  jewelry, and all products which were made in 3DCAD and 3D printer, is described as 3D jewelry.

The world of 3D printing is evolving every day, made it possible to print by various materials. Now we can order to print, or manufacture on an individual basis.
In the “jewelry studio Shima”, I accept an order for data fabrication of jewelry using CAD.  At the same time, I make products, which use the feature of 3D print and 3D modelings.  By presentation of my works in this site as new jewelry with verious materias, complex and three-dimensional structure, I hope you can enjoy to use these pieces for your fashion and life.

In addition, “jewelry studio Shima” has, originally, produced jewelry by 3D modeling of CAD on the basis of experience of manually.  The production of jewelry need technique by handmade basically.  Even a prototype by 3D, eventually needs the finishing by the manual, so that I can provide 3D data of jewelry for customers with the both skills and knowledge of 3D and handmade by my 10 years experiences in jewelry industry. 

Additively, I believe I could come up with new idea by connecting 3D skill and experience of manual works for jewerly making.  And I will make more new jewelry with verious materials, like polyamide, rubber-like, acrylic by 3D print, with metal materials like 18K gold, silver, other metals, with precious stones, beads, and with cottons, strings, lace, cords, cloth, and so on.  And I hope you could enjoy a new jewelry world with my creation, too.
